We encountered this gentleman when visiting the hilltop town of Sintra, Portugal on a beautiful early May afternoon. Of course, he is a busker - a person who entertains in a public place for donations. We've also seen these costumed and painted characters in popular tourist locations in Italy, France and Spain. For a couple of euros, they will perform their shtick for you.
