Description
Many of the farm homes of Prince Edward Island Canada featured high-pitched roofs and cedar-shake siding like this one. These houses were referred to as "vernacular homes" because there were based on standard architectural styles of the day, but were built by carpenters who did not follow formal plans. More than a century later, many still stand overlooking the fertile farm fields of the island.
Doug and Marcy Wielfaert are a husband and wife team located in Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains. Our home range certainly colors our portfolio, but we love traveling across the country and around the globe to capture scenes like this one. We would be honored if you would “like”, “favorite” or comment on this image, doing so helps increase our search engine rankings.
