Artist's Description
This dilapidated structure sits along Spanish Creek Road on Ted Turner's Flying D Ranch. Considering the four windows and the broad porch, I think this was probably a schoolhouse at one time. Montana had plenty of rain in the July we visited and wildflowers like this clump of lupines were in abundance. I am always struck by the bright blue skies here. But this picture was taken in the morning and belied the storms that arose every afternoon that we were there.
