Prince Edward Island Provincial Highway 6 runs along the Anne of Green Gables territory of the North Shore offering beautiful scenes of the ocean looking to one side of the road and farm and meadow views on the other. While enjoying the early morning light, we encountered a row of bright yellow sunflowers set against a beautiful blue sky. Finches and blue jays were competing for feeding territory and the jays complained loudly when we disturbed them. We shot dozens of images, and loved the way the flowers contrasted against the changing morning light and cloud patterns.
