Description
Chobe National Park near Kasane, Botswana provides wonderful opportunities to view African wild game, but dry and dusty conditions make navigating the park impossible except for safari vehicles. In this park, drivers communicated with each other via radio about the best game sighting locations, and this scene was captured from the back seat of a Toyota Land Cruiser as we flew along the deeply rutted trails hoping to see elephants or giraffes or even a leopard around the next bend. I finished this image with a watercolor treatment because I felt it best suggested the ambiance of the scene.
Doing business as Marcy’s Photo Journey, Doug and Marcy Wielfaert are a husband and wife team located in Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains. Our home range certainly colors our portfolio, but we love traveling across the country and around the globe to capture scenes like this one. We would be honored if you would “like”, “favorite” or comment on this image, doing so helps increase our search engine rankings.
