Description
We spend a great deal of time exploring the shoreline of Prince Edward Island, Canada, during our annual visit in late summer. The Northumberland Strait separates the island from the North American Mainland and the Gulf of St. Lawrence is on the opposite shore. During an outing, we came across a beautiful pattern of small rocks covered with bright green moss against the light blue ocean waters. I decided to render the image in the abstract to suggest and highlight the contrasting yellow, green and light blue hues. The result was a favorite image. When I see this, I remember the warm late summer day, the evening light and the smells and sounds of the Canadian Maritimes.
