Description
We left home very early on a cool and rainy late February day and arrived at the Savannah Wildlife Refuge 7 hours later and 35 degrees Fahrenheit warmer. Our day was now beautiful and the air was filled with the sounds of waterfowl in the surrounding marshes. However, it was this fearless little mockingbird that caught my eye. He posed just long enough for me to get this shot and then he flitted away. I figured that such a scene was pretty common, but then I considered how nicely this little guy stood out against the soft bokeh background and how the image so represented the beautiful early spring day.
