Artist's Description
It is the fall rutting season among the Oconaluftee elk herd in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. From the safety of the tree line, this young bull looks on the herd and the Alpha Bull grazing in a meadow before him, knowing that to venture out might evoke a challenge.
Doug and Marcy Wielfaert are a husband and wife team located in Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains.
