Route 89 through Grand Teton National Park was ice and snow-covered on the mid-January day we ventured north from our base in Jackson, Wyoming. I was a bit worried that the cost of getting the shots we wanted would be spinning off the road into a stand of lodgepole pines. In spots, they shaded the roadway making it as slick as an ice rink in certain stretches. We were rewarded with nice vistas as we headed past Elk Wyoming, Elk Ranch Flats Turnout was a decent place to shoots, but we mainly used ranch roads like Elk Ranch Road, Wolff Ranch Road, Spread Creek Road and Forest Road 30290.
