Tennessee's Cove Lake State Park is located at the base of the Cumberland Mountains at the western end of the Powell Valley.
We were told that we could get some shots of wood ducks, so we headed out before dawn on an early June Saturday and arrived while it was still dark.
It was a very foggy morning, and the wood ducks did not show up. Nevertheless, we persisted. At around 9 am, the sun finally burned away some of the fog to reveal scenes like the one we see here.

Doug and Marcy Wielfaert are a husband and wife team located in Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains. Our home range certainly colors our portfolio, but we love traveling across the country and around the globe to capture scenes like this one.
