Description
On the dry plains near Lovell, Wyoming we find this ancient and abandoned Minneapolis Moline tractor, Twin Cities Model. Our driver indicated that this implement has sat here abandoned and neglected since 1957. I am a farm boy and I wonder why a row-crop style tractor would be on these plains, to begin with. But this is a mysterious place. We were told that the road we were on leading to the top of Pryor Mountain was built in the very early 1940s by an undisclosed government team looking for uranium. The road if you may call it that that is situated on US Bureau of Land Management property and is most certainly the roughest ride I have ever experienced.
Doug and Marcy Wielfaert are a husband and wife team located in Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains. Our home range certainly colors our portfolio, but we love traveling across the country and around the globe to capture scenes like this one. We would be honored if you would “like”, “favorite” or comment on this image, doing so helps increase our search engine rankings.
