Description

We captured this Hoodoo rock formation just off US Highway 89, along Utah Highway 12 which is designated as an American scenic byway. Rock formations such as this one provide a taste of what is to come in Bryce Canyon National Park, just a few more miles up the road. The sky in early July is this deep blue because the elevations here are near 8,000 feet above sea level.

Doug and Marcy Wielfaert are a husband and wife team located in Tennessee near the Great Smoky Mountains.
